SALLY SLATER, Cofounder and Managing Partner, Innovation & Delivery

Sally is a marketing strategist and builder who has spent her career finding practical ways to integrate technology into marketing.

Her expertise spans AI solution development, content creation, digital marketing, and integrated campaign strategy. She specializes in helping professional services firms modernize their marketing through AI and digital innovation.

I fell into marketing and communications almost by accident. My passion was writing, and in the shadow of the Great Recession, I took the first job that would allow me to create stories while also paying the bills.

Fast forward a decade, and my passion for storytelling evolved into a passion for creating. As I moved deeper into digital marketing, I saw how strategy, content, and technology could work together to drive real impact. I started gravitating toward projects that required building something from scratch. I discovered I liked solving problems even more than telling stories.

At The Bliss Group, I led the agency's innovation strategy while staying close to the work itself as head of integrated marketing. Working with some of the world’s largest accounting and consulting firms, I focused on developing solutions that worked as well in practice as they did in theory. Recognition for my work included Campaign US's Inspiring Woman honor and three Ragan Top Women in Communications awards in the Data Dynamo category.

I got hooked on AI because it takes the friction out of bringing ideas to life. The traditional barriers to innovation—skill gaps, manpower, time, even budget—no longer limited my imagination. For the first time, I could develop prototypes and launch new products independently. And the boring work that got in the way of the fun stuff, I could automate.

My perspective on AI is straightforward: it's a force multiplier when applied thoughtfully and a distraction when treated like a shortcut. I believe AI should amplify expertise, not replace it. The best approaches intentionally leave room for human judgment and creativity.

Today, I build AI systems that transform how organizations work. I love finding ways to combine different AI tools to speed things up, cut costs, or create entirely new possibilities.

Because I've been in the trenches (and I haven't left them), I know the difference between innovation that looks good in a pitch deck and solutions that deliver in the real world. When out-of-the-box tools fall short, I build better ones. I've developed dozens of custom applications and workflows—from AI-powered market research tools to bespoke content generation systems—that help teams delegate to AI effectively and work alongside it.

As an advisor to Suits.ai, an AI startup focused on professional services, I have early access to emerging AI technologies before they go mainstream. This insight helps me identify which innovations have real potential and which are hype.

My mission is to help professional services organizations make AI a real advantage in marketing without diluting the distinctly human parts of the work.
